Canvas Football Pants
Canvas football pants were universal from the beginning of the game in 1869 until the late 1940's. They varied in style with the method of attaching the knee, thigh, hip and kidney pads being a part of the pants or being attached in some fashion. The materials used to make the pants and the materials used to make the pads have changed but the purpose of protecting the knee, thigh, hip and kidneys is still important. These pants will be on display in the future
